About Us

bsites are written for search engines. WhatIsInsights is written for you.

That single decision shapes every article, every word, and every topic we cover. If you’ve ever landed on a page that answered nothing — buried under filler paragraphs, vague summaries, and padded introductions — you know exactly why we built this site differently.

WhatIsInsights is an independent online publication founded in 2024. We cover the topics you actually search for — business, technology, legal, real estate, wellness, celebrity, and more — in plain, direct language that treats you like an adult.

We’re not affiliated with any media group, funded by a single advertiser, or chasing viral traffic at any cost. We’re a focused team of 14 writers and editors who care about getting things right.

Who Built This

Founder & Editor-in-Chief — James Walker

Business & Growth

James spent years watching the same problem play out across digital publishing: content written to satisfy an algorithm, not the person who clicked. Editorial calendars filled with topics nobody asked for. Articles that ranked but answered nothing.

That frustration led him to build WhatIsInsights in 2024. With over 9 years across digital publishing, SEO, and content strategy — managing editorial operations for multiple mid-size online publications — he had both the experience and the evidence to do it differently.

He oversees editorial direction, content standards, and the site’s overall growth. Every policy on this site exists because James put it there deliberately.

Co-Founder & Head of Content — Ryan Mitchell

General Topics & Everyday Insights

Ryan brings 7 years of editorial and content strategy experience to WhatIsInsights. He’s written and edited across a wide range of categories — business, finance, lifestyle, wellness — for both independent blogs and larger digital outlets.

His focus has always been readable, well-structured writing that puts you first. He manages the content team, writing standards, and the editorial review process for every article that goes live.

The Full Editorial Team

WhatIsInsights is written by 14 contributors. Each writer covers a subject area they actually understand — not a topic assigned to them randomly. You can meet every writer on our Team page.

What We Cover

We cover 12 subject areas. Each one has a dedicated writer — not a generalist stretched across everything at once.

How We Work

Every article on WhatIsInsights follows the same process. No exceptions.

  • Topic selection based on real search demand. We write about what you actually want to know — not what fills a publishing schedule.
  • Research from primary and reliable sources. Facts are verified before writing begins, not after.
  • Writing in plain language. No padding. No jargon. The answer comes first, every time.
  • Editorial review before publication. Every article is read by a second editor — checked for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
  • Published with a named author and date. You always know who wrote it and when.
  • Updated when information changes. Stale articles don’t stay on this site.

We don’t publish an article unless it genuinely answers your question better than what already exists. That’s the only standard that matters here.

Our Content Standards

  1. No Filler: Every sentence has to earn its place. If a paragraph doesn’t add useful information, it doesn’t get published.
  2. Author Accountability: Every article carries a named author. That person is responsible for the accuracy of what they write.
  3. Source Transparency: We link to sources when relevant so you can verify what we’re telling you.
  4. Correction Policy: If something is wrong, we fix it promptly and openly — not quietly and slowly.
  5. AI Disclosure: We use AI tools in research and drafting. Every article is reviewed and edited by a human editor before it publishes.
  6. No Paid Opinions: Advertisers and affiliate partners have zero influence over our editorial content. Every recommendation is independent.
